Wellesley Crew Rows Well in Worcester
Shrewsbury, Mass. – The Wellesley College crew team competed against boats from Bates, Simmons, Skidmore and Holy Cross on Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday. Wellesley's second and third varsity as well as the first novice boat recorded wins on the day.
In the second varsity race, Wellesley defeated Bates, finishing with a time of 7:15.5. Wellesley's third varsity boat also picked up a win, racing crews from Holy Cross and Bates. The Blue finished the race in 7:26.2.
In the novice races, Wellesley's first boat took second place in 7:27.3, defeating Holy Cross. In the second novice race, Wellesley fell to Simmons.
The Blue will return to Worcester next Saturday, April 19th to compete in the 2008 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Championships.
