Wellesley Crew Races Strong at First Regatta of Season
LOWELL, MA – Participating in their first regatta of the season, the Wellesley College crew team made a strong showing at the Textile River Regatta in Lowell, Massachusetts on Saturday afternoon.
Entering three mixed boats, Wellesley rowers took sixth, tenth and thirteenth place in the 17-boat race. Each of Wellesley's three boats finished within a minute of each other.
Taking sixth, the Wellesley "A" boat finished the race in 23:41 while the "C" boat took tenth in a time of 23:53. Rounding out Wellesley's finishes, the Blue's "B" boat, took 13th in 24:22.
Wellesley will next hit the water on Saturday, October 6 at the Head of the Housatonic.
