Wellesley Cross Country Competes at New England Championships

BOSTON, MA – The Wellesley College cross country team took 20th place at the New England Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships held at Franklin Park in Boston, MA.
The Blue placed 20th out of 44 teams in a field comprised of Division I, II and III colleges and universities from the six New England states. Quinnipiac took the meet with a low team score of 72.
Senior runner Kerry Shanley (Marshfield, MA) was the Blue's top finisher at the event taking 74th in a time of 19:42. Also finishing in the top 100 was Clare Egan (Cape Elizabeth, ME) who ran the race in 19:57.
Next week the Wellesley Blue will host the Seven Sisters Invitational starting at 11:40am.
