Wellesley's Claire Cummings Named NEWMAC Cross Country Runner of the Week
BABSON PARK, Mass. – Wellesley College first-year Claire Cummings (Norway, ME) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic 
Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the period ending October 25, 2009.
Cummings took home the individual title at the 2009 Wellesley Invitational, leading the Blue to a second place finish. The rookie covered the 5K course in a time of 19:31, earning her first collegiate win, in her first season of cross country.
Wellesley cross country returns to action this Saturday hosting the 2009 NEWMAC Championship at Franklin Park in Boston.
