Software License updates for use over VPN

The following licensed software may not be optimized for use over the new secure VPN. If you experience problems launching this software remotely over the VPN, please download the appropriate patch.

Patching your Windows software

  • The software must be downloaded to and run from your desktop.
  • After downloading the package, right-click and select Extract All... from the context menu.
  • After unpackaging, a new folder will appear on your desktop (ex - SpssLicUpdate). Open the folder and locate the file ending in .bat (ex - SpssLicUpdat.bat)
  • Double-click to run this patch. *On Windows Vista/ 7 you may need to right-click and select "Run As Administrator"
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update. Please contact the Helpdesk if you have any questions.

Patching your Macintosh software

  • The software must be downloaded to and run from your desktop.
  • After downloading the package, double-click to unzip the necessary files.
  • A new folder will appear on your desktop (ex - MathLicUpdate). Within this folder should be a single file with the same name. This file may or may not end with .app depending on your Finder settings.
  • Double-click the file to run and follow the on-screen prompts to compete the update. *You may be prompted for your login password during this process
