What excites you the most about Wellesley? When I came here, I looked forward to being in an environment that was both similar yet different from my previous school, the UWC of the Atlantic. Many say that college is a time when one discovers herself and cements her ideas and aspirations for life. So far, I’ve been able to take classes in disciplines that I had never though I would be interested in studying in college.

What excites you the most about Wellesley? Classes! The girls are fantastic, the teachers are great, the environment is hugely supportive, and the classes are fascinating. I adore learning more than anything and am very ready to get into some new classes. I am planning on studying abroad in China for a semester junior year (I’m taking Chinese next year). In addition to classes, I plan to swim and take voice lessons this year and hope to do research in a lab starting next year.

What excites you most about Wellesley? The people. I have never met such kind-hearted, giving, and genuinely nice people in my entire life. Everyone wants to help, whether it be my professors, my RA, my dean, my friends, alums. It is definitely not hard to find answers to the questions I have because everyone is willing to be a resource. I love that Wellesley creates a culture where you don’t have to be shy about seeking help.
Jacqueline Moreno '12

What excites you most about Wellesley? I feel very fortunate that Wellesley offers such generous financial aid packages because it has contributed to my ability to gain work experience and travel abroad. Also, I love how AMAZING alumnae are and how inspiring it can be when you meet one that has excelled in a field you look forward to joining yourself - there is no better way to get there than to talk to them.

What excites you most about Wellesley? I When I came to Wellesley, my tour guide is the one who affirmed my decision to apply Early Decision to Wellesley. She told us at the end of the tour that Wellesley women have a reputation: First of all that we're smart, and second of all that we get what we want. In my experience at Wellesley, both of these things are true. Students here are driven and outspoken, poised and thoughtful. I really admire the way that Wellesley allows young women to come out of their shells and discover themselves.
