2009-10 Recap: Blue Crew completed one of the most successful seasons in the program’s history. Hosting the 2009 Seven Sisters’ Championships on the Charles River, the team won its first Seven Sister’s title since 2001, and the second since the program’s inception. Wellesley also notched a 21st place finish in the collegiate eight race at the Head of the Charles Regatta and the novice eight earned a silver medal at the Textile River Regatta. This spring, the Blue burst on to the national scene, backed by a second place finish at the NEWMAC Championships and strong performances at both the New England and ECAC Championships. The culmination of the season came at the 2010 NCAA Championships where Wellesley finished fifth overall as a team.
