Wellesley Crew Races Two Boats at the Head of the Charles

BOSTON, Mass. – The Wellesley College crew team competed at the 44th Head of the Charles Regatta on Saturday and Sunday. Wellesley entered two boats in the event, a varsity eight and a club eight comprised of senior rowers.
The Wellesley varsity eight had an impressive showing in the collegiate event, taking 13th out of 34 entries. Blue Crew finished the 5k Charles River course in a time of 18:20.30. Wellesley finished ahead of 21 boats including crews from Smith, Simmons, Mount Holyoke, Wesleyan, Tufts, Vassar.
In the club eight race, the Wellesley senior boat finished in a time of 20:27.72 to take 42nd place.
The Blue will wrap up the fall portion of their season next Sunday competing in the Seven Sisters Championships hosted by Bryn Mawr College.
