Wellesley Crew Competes Strong at Quinsigamond Regatta
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Wellesley College first varsity boat raced to a third place finish at the Quinsigamond Snakebite Regatta in Worcester on Sunday morning.
The Wellesley "A" boat covered the 4000-meter course in a time of 15:53.14 to take third place out of 21 competitors.
Blue crew also got strong showings from its second and third varsity boats. The Wellesley "B" boat recorded a sixth-place finish in a time of 16:29.48 while the "C" boat took 13th place in 17:15.85.
Wellesley hits the water again on Saturday and Sunday, competing in the Head of the Charles Regatta. The Blue will enter a senior boat in the club eight race on Saturday beginning at 12:45pm while the first varsity will race on Sunday at 12:55pm.
