Wellesley Crew Competes Strong at Quinsigamond Snake Regatta
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Wellesley College crew team raced five boats at Saturday morning's Quinsigamond Snake Regatta in Worcester. The Blue had an entry in the fours race and also entered four boats in the eights race.
In the fours race, Wellesley posted a fourth-place finish out of nine competitors. The Blue finished in a time of 20:05.994, behind WPI (19:05.094), Tufts (19:16.726) and Connecticut College (19:34.687).
In the eights race, the Wellesley first varsity boat took fourth place out of 25 crews. The Blue raced to a time of 17:38.784 defeating crews from Conn, Colby, WPI, Tufts and Roger Williams. Mount Holyoke took first place (16:49.914) followed by Bates (16:54.427) and Holy Cross (17:00.589).
Wellesley also posted finishes of 12th (2nd Varsity - 18:56.007), 24th (Novice - 21:58.848) and 25th (Novice - 22:32.374) in the race.
