Jenny Kendall
Senior Jenny Kendall is a biology major from Auburn, Maine. Along with seniors Trish Devine, Jenna Mezin and Hali Walther, Kendall has been part of Wellesley Tennis' four-year sweep of both the NEWMAC and Seven Sisters championship titles. She was selected as the NEWMAC Singles Player of the Week during the final week of the fall season, and was named to the 2007 Academic All-Conference Team.
One word that best describes you: Passionate
Role models?: My mother and father.
Favorite aspect about your team: They always make me laugh.
What do you do to get ready for a game match? Remember why I play.
What is your dream job? Queen of the world. Just kidding. Probably a physician of some sort.
If you could play any sport that you have never played before, what would it be? Elephant Polo
Goals for your team: Maximize our potential, minimize our self-doubt, demonstrate what it means to play an individual sport as a team, win the national championship, to name a few.
What are your plans when you graduate? Research in a lab for a year and then attend medical school.
Who is your favorite professional athlete? Steffi Graf and Martina Navratilova tie for first.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Finishing my residency.
What do you want to know about the future? Why it always comes so quickly.
What does success mean to you? Taking what I have and doing something with it.
What does it mean to be a student-athlete at Wellesley? It’s learning how to lose and learning how to win, and hopefully gaining some perspective in the process. It’s using your court skills in the classroom, and your class skills on the court.
Something about you that would surprise people: In elementary school I used to hide in the bathroom during music class and write love stories on paper towels.
Who is the team’s best dancer? Tricia Devine
Nobody knows how much I like…getting up in the morning
A movie title for the story of my life? The Sound of Muzak.
