Wellesley Volleyball Goes 1-1 at Tufts Invitational
MEDFORD, Mass. – The Wellesley College volleyball team went 1-1 on day one of the sixth annual Tufts University Volleyball Invitational.
In their first match of the day, the Blue fell to Hiram (Ohio), 3-1 (box score). Hiram took the first set, 25-20 but Wellesley responded with a 25-19 victory in set two. Hiram then cruised to a 25-13 victory in the third set and wrapped up the match victory with a 25-20 win in the fourth set.
Against Union (New York), Wellesley won the first two sets (25-20; 25-18) before Union posted a 25-15 victory in the third set. However, the Blue came back for a 25-19 victory in the fourth set to win the match, 3-1 (box score).
Action at the Tufts Invitational continues tomorrow with the Blue taking on Keene State at 12:00pm and SUNY-Potsdam at 4:00pm.
