Wellesley Golf Places 8th at Jack Leaman Championship

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Wellesley College golf team took eighth place at the 2008 Jack Leaman Women’s Golf Championship held at the Orchard in South Hadley, Mass. on Saturday and Sunday.
Wellesley first-year Kim Eaton (Shepherdstown, WV) shot rounds of 88 and 81 to take seventh place overall for the tournament. Amherst College first-year Hayley Milbourn shot a 76 on Sunday to capture the individual title in the event.
Wellesley finished with a two-day score of 736 to finish in eighth place. Boston University shot an impressive 333 on the second day of competition to overtake Williams College by one stroke for the team title at the event.
Christin Scott (Houston, TX) shot rounds of 94 and 90 to take 34th place overall. Melania Matsuo (Los Gatos, CA) and Soumya Srinagesh (Palo Alto, CA) finished with scores of 191 and 192, respectively.
The Blue will wrap up their spring season at the two-day Williams Invitational beginning on Saturday, April 26th.
