Eaton Tied For Third After Day Two of NCAA Golf Championships

Waverly, Iowa – After two days of competition, Wellesley College first-year golfer Kim Eaton (Shepherdstown, WV) remains in third place at the 2008 NCAA Division III Championships.
Eaton shot a 73 in the second round of action to go along with her 75 on day one of the tournament. Her two-day total of 148 puts her in third behind Methodist's Susan Martin (146) and Stephanie Mingos of Rhodes (147).
Ten-time defending national champion Methodist University kept itself at the top of the team leaderboard reeling off their second straight sub-310 team score, putting their two-round score at 616. Southwestern University of Texas remained in second but fell off the pace to trail Methodist by 13 strokes (616-629). DePauw University of Indiana moved into third (635), while Otterbein College of Ohio stood fourth (637).
