Wellesley Golf Wins Williams Fall Invitational
Williamstown, MA - Strong play from all five Wellesley College golfers led the Blue to a win in the Williams Fall Classic on Sunday afternoon in Williamstown, Mass.
The Blue finished the tournament with a two-day score of 659. Wellesley bested the next lowest competitor, Holy Cross College, by eight strokes.
Senior Jennifer Jenq (Saratoga, CA) and first-year Kim Eaton (Shepherdstown, WV) tied for tops for the Blue with fourth place finishes shooting 161. Eaton had the low round for Wellesley with a 74 on Sunday after shooting 87 on Saturday. Jenq shot a 76 on Saturday and an 85 on Sunday.
Christin Scott (Houston, TX) finished 13th overall with a two-day score of 166. Rounding out the scoring for Wellesley were Soumya Srinagesh (Palo Alto, CA) who finished in 24th with a 171 and Melanie Matsuo (Los Gatos, CA) who shot a 185.
The Blue will return to action on Saturday, October 13th for the Wellesley Invitational at Nehoiden Golf Club in Wellesley.
