Eaton Takes Third at Williams Spring Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – With rounds of 82 and 81, Wellesley College first-year golfer Kim Eaton (Shepherdstown, WV) took third place at the 2008 Williams College Spring Invitational.
Eaton's two-day score of 163 was third behind only Hayley Milbourn of Amherst who shot a 154 (80-74) and Elmira's Tory MacNeil who took second with a 162 (80-82).
Competing as individuals due to an injury, Wellesley golfers Soumya Srinagesh (Palo Alto, CA) and Melanie Matsuo (Los Gatos, CA) also competed in the event. With a low round of 88, Srinagesh finished 26th with an overall score of 180. Matsuo, who shot a low of 91, finished with a two-day total of 183.
The event marked the end of the 2007-08 season for Wellesley. The Blue recorded a win at the Wellesley Invitational in the fall and also took home the Williams Fall Invitational title.
Individually, Eaton was the Blue's top golfer earning medalist honors at the Wellesley Invitational, the Massachusetts State Invitational and the Endicott tri-match.
