Wellesley Golf Hosts Spring Invitational
Amherst Takes Team Title; Eaton Takes Second for the Blue

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Four schools competed at the Wellesley College Golf Invitational held on Saturday afternoon at the Nehoiden Golf Club in Wellesley. Amherst College took the team title with a score of 323 on the par-72 course, while Mount Holyoke took second and Williams placed third.
Individually, Amherst's Hayley Milbourn took medalist honors, shooting an 18-hole total of 79. She was five strokes ahead of a trio of finishers who ended the day tied for second place.
After Milbourn, Nina Yoo shot a 79 while Laura Monty (84) Elaine Lin (84) each finished in the top-10 to lead Amherst to the team title.
Taking second was Mount Holyoke with an overall score of 339. The Lyons placed three in the top-10, with Zahra Aliza Hanif and Martha Elson both shooting 83's and Kathleen Banaszak shooting an 86.
In third place, Williams
was led by Melissa Barton who carded a 79 and Kristin Nottenbohm who finished with an 86.
Wellesley entered three individuals in the event. Sophomore Kim Eaton (Shepherdstown, WV) finished a strong spring with a 79, good for a tie for second place. Also for the Blue, first-year Alexis Kelleher (Worcester, MA) finished tied for 11th with an 87, while classmate Emma Li (Vancouver, WA) shot a 112.
The Spring Invitational wraps up Wellesley's spring season. The Blue will now await NCAA Championship bids.
