Wellesley Golf Takes 9th Place at Williams Fall Classic

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Wellesley College golf team capped the 2008 fall season with a ninth place finish at the Williams Fall Classic on Sunday morning in Williamstown.
The Blue were led by sophomore Kim Eaton (Shepherdstown, WV) who carded a 79 on day two to finish in seventh place overall in the field of 76. Eaton rebounded from a day one 83 for a two-day total of 162 on the par-71 course.
First-year Alexis Kelleher (Worcester, MA) shot an 81 on day one and recorded an 87 on day two to finish tied for 22nd with a 168. Also competing for the Blue, Soumya Srinagesh (Palo Alto, CA) shot a two-day total of 181 (87-94) while Emma Li shot a 231 (119-112).
Middlebury College took the team title with a total of 642 while their top golfer, Courtney Mazzei shot a 72 on day two to finish with medalist honors.
The tournament wrapped up the fall portion of the Wellesley golf schedule.
