Wellesley Golf Competes at Mount Holyoke
Day Two Results
SOUTH HADLEY, MA – The Wellesley College golf team posted a ninth place finish at the 2009 Mount Holyoke Invitational on Sunday. The Blue entered five golfers into the two-day tournament played on the par-72, 5,880-yard Orchards Golf Club course.
Wellesley was led by
junior Kim Eaton (Shepherdstown, WV) who shot a two-day total of 170 to finish 15th in the 81-golfer field. First-year Cassandra Tavolarella (Vero Beach, FL) was second for the Blue, finishing 32nd with a two-round score of 176.
Sophomore Alexis Kelleher (Worcester, MA) carded an 89 on day to to finish with a total of 182, while first-year Michelle Cho (La Crescenta, CA) took fve strokes off of her first round score to end the tournament with a 187. Senior Soumya Srinagesh (Palo Alto, CA) was close behind with a two-day 188.
The Blue are off until October 10th and 11th when they compete at the Williams Invitational.
