Eaton Ties For 10th Place at 2010 NCAA Golf Championships
Junior Shoots Tournament Low 75
Final Results
WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College's Kim Eaton (Shepherdstown, WV) wrapped up the 2010 NCAA Division III Golf Championships with an amazing day-four performance on Friday afternoon.
The junior tied the tournament low round with a score of 75. Eaton's score was also the lowest round of the day in the field of 105, and it vaulted her from 21st to 10th place. She finished the tournament +31 with a four-day total of 323 (82-84-82-75), just ten strokes off the lead.
Jessica Urban of Wisconsin Stevens-Point earned medalist honors by edging out Methodist’s Paige Caldwell. Urban fired a final round of 77 (+4) to finish the Championships at 21-over par. Caldwell was one stroke off the pace and Monarch teammate Alana Swain and Natalie Matuszak of Saint Mary’s College finished in a tie for third at +23 on the par-72, 5,901-yard course.
