Wellesley Golf Sits in 6th Place at Williams Invitational
Results
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Wellesley College Golf team sits in sixth place after day one of the 2009 Williams Fall Golf Invitational.
Junior Kim Eaton (Shepherdstown, WV) carded a day one score of 84 to place her in a tie for 9th place overall, seven strokes behind Flora Weeks (77) of Middlebury who leads the field.
After Eaton, a trio of underclasswomen all stand in the top 30 after day one. First-year Cassandra Tavolarella (Vero Beach, FL) is tied for 25th with a round of 88, first-year Michelle Cho (La Crescenta, CA) is close behind with an 89 (T-27th), while sophomore Alexis Kelleher (Worcester, MA) notched a day one 90, good for a tie for 28th.
Senior Soumya Srinagesh (Palo Alto, CA) rounded out the Wellesley golfers with a 95, placing her in a tie for 43rd.
The Williams Invitational continues today, with the Blue teeing off at 12:00pm.
