Wellesley Golf Takes 4th Place at Williams Invitational
Results
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Wellesley College golf team had a strong day two showing at the Williams Invitational, taking fourth place overall in the 12-team event. The tournament was held at the par-70, 5,806-yard Taconic Golf Club.
Junior Kim Eaton (Shepherdstown, WV) led the Blue with rounds of 84 and 83. She finished with a two-day total of 167, tieing for 9th place overall.
Sophomore Alexis Kelleher (Worcester, MA) was Wellesley low round on day two, carding an 82. Combined with her day one total of 90, she finished with a 172, good for a tie for 16th. Close behind Kelleher, was first-year Cassandra Tavolarella (Vero Beach, FL) who finished with scores of 88 and 85, placing her in a tie for 17th.
Also for Wellesley, first-year Michelle Cho (La Crescenta, CA) had rounds of 89 and 98 to take 26th place, while senior Soumya Srinagesh (Palo Alto, CA) took 33rd with a two-day total of 193.
Wellesley returns to the links on Saturday, October 17th hosting the 2nd annual Ann S. Batchelder Invitational at the Nehoiden Golf Course on campus.
