WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Wellesley College lacrosse team outlasted Eastern Connecticut State University 14-11, in a tightly contested non-conference match-up in Wellesley. Originally scheduled as a home game for Eastern, the game was moved to Wellesley due to field conditions at Eastern.

Eastern's Wayte added her fifth score of the game with 12:31 to go to cut the lead to 12-10, but the Blue's Loretta White converted a free position attempt to increase the Wellesley lead back to three goals with six minutes to play.

The Warriors would get another goal, this one from Courtney Bedocs with 4:27 to play, but it wasn't enough as Wellesley added a score in the closing seconds and took the game 14-11.
