Wellesley Squash Travels to Wesleyan Round Robin
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wellesley College squash competed at the Wesleyan Round Robin this weekend. Playing without their number one and number four players, many Blue players were forced to play up two positions in the line-up.
Wellesley fell in their opening day matches to Smith and Middlebury by matching 9-0 scores. However, Wellesley's Emaline Surgenor (Dover, MA) picked up a win in the 10th position, beating her opponent, 3-2. Later in the day, the Blue dropped an 8-1 decision to Connecticut College with Rachel Amrhein (Kendall Park, NJ) winning her ninth-position match by a 3-1 scores.
On day two, Wellesley fell to William Smith and Wesleyan.
The Wesleyan Round Robin closes out the 2009 portion of the season for the Blue. The team will return to action in January 2010.
